Victor Braunig Lake

      A park with beautiful people, friendly staff, gorgeous camping spaces, convenient facilities, and nice restrooms should definitely be in your bucket list this year! It is a wonderful family get away, you can fish, cook, eat, and just enjoy with the "kiddos!"

San Pedro Springs Park

    This gorgeous park is made of 46 acres of public springs, BBQ areas, family places, and beautiful twisted oaks. It is a "hidden oasis", with lovely trees giving it a "canopy" feel, hiding it from the big city it is in. With great history surrounding its creation, this park offers softball fields, a tennis complex, a playhouse, and gorgeous pools and springs.

The Alamo


     If you ever travel to San Antonino, you need to visit this historical site. At night, this well-lit church causes goosebumps with its chaos and infamous past. This historical church (apart from being so influential in the framing of the state) offers a beautiful interior garden, an immense ancient oak tree, amazing maintenance, and a useful tour, all for free!

    A very peaceful,serene,quiet landscape with excellent variety in trails with ups and downs and distances. If you enjoy hiking, but would like a bigger challenge this park is for you. Friedrich Wilderness Park is a nice preserve with plenty of trails, difficulties and a gorgeous hill country view.

San Antonio Botanical Garden

       Covering from orchids to desert cactus these lovely gardens make for a nice day. With only 10 dollars you will be surprised with how big and beautiful this place is, the park is filled with gorgeous and fun displays for kids, re-created East Texas landscapes, ponds, rivers, and warm informative staff. Be sure to wear sunscreen, drink water, and bring snacks!

Brackenridge Park

   

   Brackenridge Park is great for relaxing walks along the sculptures, trees, trails, river banks, and gorgeous pure scenery. With stunning, beautiful nature, this park also has tables, trash cans, lovely train rides, free parking, and convenient restrooms. It is excellent for exercise, meeting people, and having social gatherings.

Natural Bridge Caverns

   The formations in these caves are amazing! With wonderful guides and enough time to take in all the nature and pictures, you will be glad you visited these caves! Be prepared to walk through caverns full of beauty, majesty, and nature, but be sure to bring waterproof, comfortable shoes, there is lots of underground water running through the earth or pouring from the ceiling!

San Antonio Zoo

   The San Antonio Zoo may not be the largest but it is gorgeous and it is well maintained. The zoo is peaceful to walk through, with plenty happy animals, flowing water, an amazing butterfly exhibit, a gorgeous Africa Live, and a lovely train ride. The zoo offers special events like the ZooBoo, a Halloween event with lots of trick or treating, and also offers well-priced food year-long.

Japanese Tea Garden

   This picturesque, colorful, and photographic  garden is rich in history, friendly staff, a delicious tea, and beautiful, tranquil waters with gracious fish. After a relaxing and romantic walk along the river you can picnic between the trees, or take a quick visit to the zoo, only 5 minutes away. The San Antonio Japanese Garden served as an actual tea room for many years, and Im glad they've been able to preserve its glory until now.

River Walk

     San Antonio offers many beautiful places to visit, and one of the most beautiful is the River Walk. You can walk or ride along the river for miles and miles through a romantic, well designed and scenic canal. Every corner is full of nature, restaurants, shops and warm people, and not to talk about the boat rides! It is a another total view, its peaceful and slow, and the guides are full of knowledge about this beautiful city and its history...
